Thinking about redecorating your living space? Whether it is a family room, home office or an entry way, there can be nothing more pleasing, especially for a tea lover, than a well placed teapot or vintage teabox.
The home office needed something new and I wanted to incorporate a teapot into a sitting area. Because I have many teapots, it was hard to narrow down the exact one I wanted to display. I took into account color and played off the rest of the room. What I came up with seemed perfect for the semi-minimalist look I was going for.
I took this great little orange and brown teapot, saucer and cup, bought a pillow to match and viola. I used a teapot that I don’t use, but still enjoy.
The possibilities are endless.
Another way that the love for tea can be incorporated into a space is by displaying related items on shelves. In this case, several teapots, a tea box, and books are displayed with other items in wall cubes.
Working up a theme for a living space can be done very inexpensively. One way to build up an arrangement for a space is to shop at second hand stores, thrift stores or garage sales. There, you can often find unique items from just about any style. If you are lucky, you might even find a rare antique that would be the talk of your next dinner party.
